Collaboration - Prop Designs

Thought I'd take the time to show off the production art I've been working on for my collaboration project! Our theme is 'The Wrong Response to...'  and our skit is a 'Backfired Mugging' - Our style is based on theatre so I've been trying to work out how to convey hand drawn props before we make them 3D and so far I believe that applying a paper texture to our props will help retain that theatrical aspect while still being 3D.

  1. Hi Meg. All nice designs. Do you mean you are going to have 'cardboard props' in your world? So, 2D cutouts to represent a trash can etc or are you going to make them 3D and texture them to look like paper?

    1. Thank you Alan, Yes some of the props that represent the scene will be either 2d cardboard cut outs or 3D texture - as a group we're trying to figure out which prop style to go with at the moment

  2. This is an animation by one of our graduates (if you haven't seen it already) called 'An Audience With'. It combines 3D and 2D logic similar to a children'c TV world...
