In Justin's lesson we were given animated movies to study, I was given spirited away and had to understand Ghibli's drawing style. Spirited away's characters are a lot diverse in terms of who the spirits are as they are based on Japanese mythical creatures.
our next task was designing our own character to fir that world, I went and did some research on Japanese mythical creatures and found one that stood out to me, Ashinagatenaga. Ashinaga has extremely long legs and Tenaga has extremely long arms, when paired together they are able to catch fish - I imagined these two being customers at the bathhouse of spirited away, taking a break from all that fishing.
