Character Design - Objects
So the first week of character design, Justin gave us each a time period to research what weapons, furniture and clothing would look like. I was tasked with looking up 'Modern Day', it was a bit tricky at first finding Iconic objects of current day but with Justin's advice I was able to understand what I was looking for.
Our next task was picking one of the objects and personifying it to fit a certain world, I went more with a zombie apocalypse with one of the axes I drew, so the axe had to look more gritty, rigid and used. I also attempted a more soft cartoon-y version but it seemed too bland.
Our last task of the session was choosing a still image of someone or an animal and stylising their features or rather turning them in to a caricature. I studied one of the images I had of a model as I thought her facial features were interesting. Justin gave me pointers that I have to be careful with certain features as I could bring it away from what I'm studying
